Our Recognitions

Our kindergarten received the “Green Friend 2026” recognition for participating in the Rohejaht environmental campaign organised by Kuusakoski. The aim of the campaign was to encourage young people and communities to act in an environmentally responsible way and to value recycling and the circular economy.

Environmental awareness and caring for nature are close to our hearts

On 6 December, we received another important recognition — University of Tartu Centre for Ethics awarded our kindergarten the title “Good Kindergarten Expert 2024” in the field of supporting children’s developmental needs.

Special thanks go to the authors of the analysis and the members of the development team: Taige Kusma, Laura-Princessa Hainsalu, Kea Puks, Karolin Kuusk, Kärt Sepp, Bertha-Pauline Kivilaan, Aile Tomson, Kärt Lüütsepp, and Viive Vellemaa.

In 2021, an award for environmentally friendly schools and kindergartens was presented for the first time at the environmental recognition event, and the nominees were selected from educational institutions holding the “Green Flag” environmental label.

RThe Green School programme team, in cooperation with the Ministry of Climate, selected Tartu Lotte Kindergarten from among active and environmentally friendly kindergartens.

The award was presented to the kindergarten on 23 October 2024 at the Environmental Education Conference. We would like to thank the coordinators of the Green School programme for this recognition — we are very proud!

As part of the recognition programme, our kindergarten was awarded the title “Promoter of Good Kindergarten Practices.”

In 2017, our kindergarten received the “Values Education Kindergarten” recognition from the University of Tartu Centre for Ethics. The recognition was awarded to kindergartens that consciously value children’s holistic development, a safe learning environment, and caring and cooperative relationships throughout the kindergarten community.
